Everday life in Greece through the eyes of a secondary school pupil….

My day starts when I wake up in the morning. I don’t find waking up at all difficult on most days. I get ready, take the bus and arrive at school early. At school, time passes pleasantly. The subjects we study are: Greek Language, Maths, Ancient Greek, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, The Iliad, Passages from Greek Literature, Computing, Technology, Music and English. The programme is different every day. All the lessons are fun because each teacher has his or her own style of teaching. Some lessons are more difficult than others but we learn something in every one.

When school is over, I go to the bus stop with some other pupils from my school and we wait for the bus. When I get home, I eat lunch, usually on my own, and I start doing my homework for the next day without delay. I finish quickly and, in that way, I have enough free time to watch TV, play computer games and to get ready for out-of-school activities.

The best time of the day for me is the evening. That’s when my sister, my mother and I gather in the lounge and discuss how we spent our day.
